Hi! I’m Sharon creator of The Buck Family headed by Mummy Buck.  I’m ‘Mean’ Mummy to four loud, younger people (2 teens & 2 tweens).
I don’t pretend to be a writer, I just write. So if you’re looking for faultless grammar, punctuation, non-drivel stuff then you might want to visit someone else’s blog!
Over on my blog you will read funny, everyday parenting tales with a massive dose of humour.
Q1. How would your best friend describe you?  (not sure then ask them)
I did just that and asked.    She said, after I asked to ‘try again’ lol,  that I’m witty, I have a good sense of humour and apparently I light up the air in any room.  Never knew she loved me so much!
Q2. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I love to laugh and that’s what I want for my readers (when I get some).  I find it so worthwhile when people, read, relate and chuckle.  Sometimes, I write more serious issues and sometimes, my kids take an interest, which always seems to surprise them especially when they start to giggle.
Q3. If you could change anything about blogging, what would it be?
Not sure I’ve actually found anything I want to change yet.  I’m still new to how a lot of it all works going over a year now.
I do find that sometimes the twitter world of blogging can be quite ‘school-gate’ like and it can be hard getting in.  But then again, I don’t suppose I always try that hard.
Q4. If you were invited to a Blogger’s Cocktail Party, which three bloggers would you invite and why?
Oooh that’s a good one.  I would take the 3 ladies who I linked up with early on in my blogging world, who run weekly #TweensTeensBeyond linky, Dr Sharon Parry from After the Playground, Nicky from Not Just the 3 of Us & Jo from Mother of Teenagers.  They are all supportive and write lovely comments on my blog!
Q5. What is the best blogging tip you have been given?
To be honest, I’ve never been given a tip. I’ve sent off asking for a few but never got anything back.   So I’ve given up thanking people in advance for their help on Twitter that never comes!
Q6. When you aren’t blogging, where is your favourite place to visit for a day out?
I like nothing more than a stroll along the seafront.  It’s not often I get to do this, as usually the weather is bad or the kids complain they don’t want to go.  I love it, finished off with fish and chips listening to the sounds of the sea.
Q7. Tell us about your guilty pleasure.  It could be food, drink, a TV programme or your favourite band.
Is it wrong to have several guilty pleasures? Or am I just greedy?  So not to bore anyone I’ll keep it short.  I love, love, love New Country music so much my family says I’m obsessed.  One day I will get to Nashville and ‘live the dream’ although my hubbie is not keen!
Q8. If you knew you were going to be marooned on a desert island and could take 3 luxury items with you, what would they be?
Music, luxury hammock and a never-ending supply of Mr. Whippy Ice-creams.
Q9. What was the last good book you read?
The couple next door, Shari Lapena.
Q10. Describe your perfect date night?
Dinner at local Indian restaurant followed by a film at the cinema.  Then back home to a child free house to listen to songs and catch up on all recent events without being interrupted with demands from the kids!
